Covid-19 parbat

Covid-19 infection has been confirmed in 12 children in a mountain village of Parbat.

Twelve children have been infected with a corona in Chuwa of Kushma Municipality-8.

In the last week, 12 children have been infected in Chuwa at a time when the number of children infected in the district is low.

According to Ward Chairman Raj Kumar Chhetri, children in the age group of 13 months to 11 years have been infected.

He said that the infection was confirmed in the test after showing the symptoms of cold and fever.

He said that this new variant was suspected as the children were infected with the virus.

Researchers had projected that the third wave would affect children.

Although the incident was described as a sign of a third wave, the Health Directorate Gandaki Pradesh has been requested to test the variant, said Chhetri.

In Chuwa alone, 42 people of different ages, including children, are actively infected.

The ward has conducted direct monitoring of health workers and isolation with oxygen.

Free treatment, medicine, and oximeters are being distributed to the infected.

The number of actively infected people in the mountain is 200.

Of the 2,146 infected in the second wave, 1,921 have recovered.

So far, 58 people have lost their lives due to the Covid-19 infection.
