Argentina beat Bolivia 3-0 on Friday morning.
Messi took the lead in the 14th minute of the game and scored two goals in the tenth half. He scored a hat-trick in the 64th minute and a hat-trick in the 88th minute.
Messi became the highest-scoring player in international football from the South American continent after a hat-trick. For that, he overtook Brazil’s Pele. Messi has scored 79 goals for Argentina and Pele has scored 77 goals for Brazil.
After the victory, Argentina is in the tenth position with 18 points in 8 games. Bolivia is in ninth place with 6 points from 9 games.
In other matches, Uruguay beat Ecuador 1-0. Colombia beat Chile 3-1 and Paraguay beat Venezuela 2-1.
