A sister & brother of the same family has died after being bitten by a snake in the Khadak Municipality of Saptari.
The deceased have been identified as Sunita Mandal, 14, and Krishna Mandal, 9, of Siswa beihi in Ward No. 2 of the municipality.
They were taken to Ram Prasad Umaprasad Memorial Hospital in Lahan, Siraha after being bitten by a snake while sleeping at home.
According to Saptari Police Spokesperson and DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle, Sunita died in the hospital while being treated and Krishna died while being treated at Rajbiraj’s Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.
