Deuba and Biplav in Baluwatar meeting

A meeting has been held between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’

Talks are underway between them at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan is participating in the meeting along with the Prime Minister on behalf of the government, while Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma and Dharmendra Bastola are also participating in the meeting.

Discussions are underway with the Prime Minister on the implementation of the three-point agreement reached with the previous government.

Earlier, the leaders had met CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, and others.

The BJP-led CPN (Maoist) entered the peace process after reaching a three-point agreement with the Oli-led government.

Biplob has been expressing dissatisfaction saying that its leaders and cadres are still in jail even after the agreement with the government.
