Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is being appointed Prime Minister today.
The President’s Office is preparing for Deuba’s appointment and swearing-in today. An official of the President’s Office said that the swearing-in ceremony was scheduled for 5 pm.
The Supreme Court on Monday ordered Deuba to be appointed prime minister.
The apex court had asked Deuba to appoint the prime minister by 5 pm on Tuesday.
Deuba has been prime minister four times before. This is his fifth innings as prime minister.
Deuba is preparing to form a small cabinet today.
For that, Deuba is busy with internal consultations, according to his secretariat.
