New Delhi: The friendship of Dharmendra and Dilip Kumar is an example in Bollywood. Whenever Dilip Kumar got a chance, he used to praise Dharmendra’s look and personality a lot. Dharmendra also used to get filled with respect and love after listening to his idol. As long as Dilip Kumar was alive, Dharmendra was given a lot of feast at his house. Both often used to sit together till late night. Dharmendra had mentioned about his love affair with Dilip Kumar, his family and the cook at an award function.
Dharmendra told about his friendship with Dilip Kumar at an event and said, ‘This Jat from Punjab has become a favorite member of this Pathan family. Just started coming and going. Hugs started with love. Dilip saheb used to express his love for me, I kept on expressing my love.
Dharmendra, fond of food and drink, often returned from Dilip Kumar’s house after having food. He further told, it is a matter of one night. Had food, ate Biryani to the fullest. I also love a woman named Narmada, who cooks at her house, because she makes very good biryani. Dilip Kumar liked Dharmendra’s company so much that he used to keep him at home for long.

In the end, referring to their beautiful friendship, Dharmendra had said, “Many times things used to go to excess, Dilip Saheb must have realized this as well.” Dilip Kumar died on 7 July 2021 at the age of 98 after a long illness. Dharmendra and Dilip Kumar worked together in a Bengali film and its remake ‘Anokha Milan’.
The 87-year-old actor will now be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ which will release on July 28, 2023. Talking about the actor’s family, Dharmendra has a full family today. Apart from his sons Sunny and Bobby, daughter Esha Deol is a famous Bollywood star. His grandson has also made his Bollywood debut. When the actor married Hema Malini in 1980, they were married. The name of the actor’s first wife is Prakash Kaur. Sunny and Bobby Deol are his sons.
