Four arrested with red panda skin in Surkhet

Four people with a red panda skin, have been arrested in Surkhet. 

Police arrested them on the basis of special information that they were hiding their skin at Mansarovar Hotel in Birendranagar on Friday.

While staying at the hotel, they were arrested with red panda skin, said Police Inspector Kanak Shahi of the District Police Office, Surkhet.

The arrested are Man Bahadur Budha, 28, of Raskot Municipality-8, Kalikot, Bishnu Rawat, 33, of Thantikandh Municipality-6, Dailekh, Purna Bahadur Basnet, 21, of Narayan Municipality-10 and Narendra Thapa, 25.

During the statement, Inspector Shahi said that they had come only to remove the skin. It has been revealed during the statement that they have agreed to take Rs 50,000 for this.

Police said that further investigation is underway.
