In the inaugural match of the Everest Premier League (EPL) on Saturday, defending champions Lalitpur Patriots set a target of 158 runs for Kathmandu Kings XI.
Batting first, Lalitpur lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 157 runs. Pawan Sarraf scored 61 runs for Lalitpur. Kathmandu’s Jitendra Mukhiya took 4 wickets.
Lalitpur captain Kushal Bhurtel was out in the first ball of the match. In the same over, Sandun Weerakkody was dismissed for 2 runs. After Gulshan Jha dismissed Oshada Fernando in the second over, Lalitpur lost 3 wickets for 7 runs.
