The landslide has blocked the Bhimdatta Highway connecting seven hilly districts in the far west.
According to police, the highway was blocked due to a landslide in Katan of Alital Gaonpalika-1 of Dadeldhura at around 9 am on Saturday.
Chief of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahendra Nepal said that the vehicles left for the destination were stopped at Katal after the highway was blocked due to the landslide.
He said that even though dozers were used to prevent the landslide, there was a problem as the flow from above was not stopped.
Earlier on Thursday, a landslide had occurred in Alital Gaonpalika-1 under Bhimdatta Highway.
The local administration had opened the highway using dozers.
