A landslide in Jyotinagar Ward no.3 of Butwal has damaged a dozen houses.
A landslide that fell from Chure hill in Jyotinagar has hit the houses of three people including the Manmaya Bhat area.
The landslide damaged a dozen houses, said local Bishnu Gurung. According to the Area Police Office, Butwal, the landslide has left the occupants safe and sound.
The landslide damaged the road from Goal Park in Butwal to Laxminagar, disrupted traffic, and swept away electricity poles.
Locals have shifted the damaged houses to safer places after the landslide.
Other locals at risk of landslides are also being relocated, police said. A landslide had damaged 57 houses in the area on 5 September 1998
