Meeting of the leaders of the ruling coalition today

Meeting of the leaders

A meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition is being held to discuss the strategy of the ruling party and the completion of the cabinet.

The meeting is being held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 10 am.

In a meeting held last Friday, Prime Minister Deuba had urged the top leaders to give the list of ministers as soon as possible after holding discussions in their respective parties. Even two months after the formation of the current government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Council of Ministers has not been completed. The Deuba-led cabinet currently has only four ministers and one minister of state.

A leader of the ruling coalition said that today’s meeting will also discuss how to move forward the parliament, which has been obstructing the main opposition party CPN-UML.
