Modi’s idol burnt in protest of the Darchula incident

Students of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party have burnt the statue of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in protest of the Darchula incident.

Students demonstrated at Ratna Rajya Campus, Pradarshani Marg on Friday and displayed & Burnt Modi’s idol. They chanted slogans like “Give justice to Jai Singh Dhami, stop border encroachment, Indian expansionism Murdabad”.

Jai Singh Dhami of Byans Gaonpalika-2 of Darchula was crossing the Mahakali River when the Indian Border Security Force (SSB) cut the wire. The recent report submitted by the committee formed to investigate the incident also mentions that the incident took place in the presence of SSB.

But the government has also been criticized for not sending diplomatic notes to India this also lead to protests.
