Nepal Army Chief Niranjan Kumar Shrestha has called on Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane.
The two generals had a courtesy meeting at the Indian Army headquarters in New Delhi. Shrestha is also the Director-General of the Directorate General of Military Training and Doctrine of the Nepal Army. According to the Indian Army, issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
During the meeting, Indian Army Chief Narvane requested to convey his congratulatory message to the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff General Prabhuram Sharma.
Shrestha is on a visit to India at the invitation of the Director-General of the Directorate General of Training of the Indian Army.
Shrestha has also visited various training centers of the Indian Army and held discussions with top officials there. He has visited the Indian Army’s military training centers at Mau, Pune, Dehradun, and Simla in Indore, India.
Dozens of Nepal Army officers are undergoing training in India.
