Nepal’s dream of playing in the ICC U-19 World Cup is still unfulfilled.
The ICC on Wednesday said the selection of the US, Asia, and East Asia Pacific region was canceled due to Covid-19.
After the selection was canceled, Canada from the United States, UAE from Asia, and Papua New Guinea from East Asia Pacific have been directly selected in the U-19 World Cup.
The ICC said in a statement that the three choices could not be made as per the guidelines approved by the ICC Development Committee and the ICC Board.
Therefore, the ICC has directly selected the top three based on the victories in the last 5 U-19 selection competitions.
The U-19 World Cup will be held in the West Indies next year.
