The amount received by domestic players playing in the upcoming Everest Premier League has been increased.

Organizer Everest Premier League has stated that it has increased the salary of all Nepali players participating in the tournament by 20 percent.

The organizers have said that the salary has been increased considering the difficulties faced by the players due to Covid. The decision was made after discussions between all the team owners and the league management.

At the meeting, everyone agreed on the proposal put forward by Chitwan Tigers owner Kishor Bhattarai to increase the players’ salary by 20 percent.

This is the first time in the franchise league that a player’s salary has been increased in this way. Various teams are in the process of recruiting foreign players for the upcoming tournament.

A few days ago, Kathmandu Kings have confirmed to bring Sahid Afridi. Another Pakistani player Aziz is also expected to attend.
