Sandeep Lamichhane to play Big Bash League from Hobart

Nepali national team leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been confirmed to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) from Hobart Hurricanes.

Hobart said on Thursday that Sandeep had been re-signed for the new season.

Hobart has signed Sandeep as the first foreign player. Sandeep played for Hobart last season. He took 8 wickets in 8 games. Sandeep had previously played for the Melbourne Stars.

Sandeep has said that he is ready to go to Australia and play from Hurricanes. 

Speaking to CricInfo, he said he had a lot of fun playing for Hobart last season and was excited to play the entire tournament this season.

The new season of Big Bass is scheduled to take place from December 5 to January 28, 2022.

Sandeep has not played in any franchise league since playing in the Big Bash League last season. He missed the T20 Vitality Blast and The Hundred League due to visa issues.

Sandeep, who is currently in Oman with the Nepali national team to play in the World Cup League-2 triangular series, has also lost (Caribbean Premier League CPL).

The Nepali team is currently in Oman for the triangular one-day series between Oman and the United States under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
