The sixth liver transplant has been successful at Tribhuvan University, TU Teaching Hospital.
A 36-year-old man has undergone a successful liver transplant, said Dr. Ramesh Singh Bhandari, a liver pancreatic surgeon at the hospital’s teaching hospital. The man was given a liver by his 31-year-old wife.
This time the team of Dr. Bijay Bhij of Fortis Hospital, India came to the teaching hospital to help in the transplant.
Earlier, five liver transplants have been successful in the teaching hospital. Liver transplantation has been started in the hospital on the initiative of Dr. Ramesh Singh Bhandari.
